Aid Station at 5.2 miles
Ascent:  380 feet
Descent:  440 feet
"First 10" - Start to Onanda Park
Topography: Mostly Flat, Some Medium Hills
Run downhill from the Gym; turn left to run past Performing Arts Center. Follow drive (W) to Rte. 364. Turn right (N).  Be very careful crossing 364 to run on the left facing traffic.
Turn left (W) onto Lakeshore Drive at first traffic light.  Please use the sidewalk along Lakeshore Drive.  Follow Lakeshore Drive as it curves North.  At the Rte. 20 traffic light, turn left and run first on the grass and then on the shoulder of Rte. 20.  After you cross over the Lake Outlet Channel, turn bear left down the bank and cross the creek on temporary wooden foot bridge. Over the foot bridge, bear right and run along the fence to gate at West Lake Drive.  Go through the gate and turn left on West Lake Drive.
Continue on West Lake Drive. An Aid Station will be at the Pump Station (5.2 miles from start).
Handers & Teams:  There is no access to West Lake Road from Rte. 20.  See Race Handbook for how to get from Lakeshore Drive to West Lake Road.  Use the Pump Station parking lot on the right.  Be careful crossing the road to handle your runner.

Continue South on West Lake Drive.  A series of medium hills start at about 7.0 miles. The Aid Station and 1st Relay Exchange are at Onanda Park.  The aid station will be just inside the Park Entrance on the LEFT.

Handlers & Teams:  Drive in the Park Entrance and park in the main parking lot; do not park on West Lake Road or in the park driveway.

"Coye Cutoff" - Onanda Park to Bopple Bottom
Topography: Big Up, Big Down
Continue South on West Lake Road as the road climbs away from the lake. Turn left onto Coye Road. After a long flat, Coye turns right and is very steep for a couple hundred yards. After the big up and a small dip, the grade is more gradual to Seneca Point Road.
Turn left onto Seneca Point Road. After a bit of gradual downhill, the road drops quickly back to the lake shore. Continue past the Hicks Road intersection 0.15 miles to the Aid Station and 2nd Relay Exchange.

Handlers & Teams:  Park on the left after the aid station and walk back.

"Bopple Hill" - Bopple Bottom to Bristol Springs
Topography: Monster Up, Medium Down
Continue South on Bopple Hill Road. After about 1 mile along the lake shore, the fun begins. The Bopple Hill climb (600 feet in 0.8 mile) has three sections: a short but very steep wall followed by a short gentle grade and a long steep wall. At the top, turn left onto Rte. 21. After another half mile of gentle uphill, begin a medium downhill. When you see road signs for the intersection with Rte. 64, turn right onto Torrence Road. The Aid Station and 3rd Relay Exchange are at Bristol Springs (intersection of Torrence Road and Rte. 64).

"High Road" - Bristol Springs to Rte. 21 Trail Head
Topography: Flat, Then a Big Down
Head South on Rte. 64 for 0.2 miles. Take first right onto County Road 12. After an initial small up, the road is mostly flat until the last mile when it drops rapidly to intersect Rte. 21. Cross Rte. 21 to reach the Aid Station and 4th Relay Exchange in the trail head parking area.

"Sunnyside" - Trail Head to Sunnyside
Topography: Flat Trail & Gently Rolling Road
Proceed through the gate and stay on the trail. At 1.3 miles, turn Right onto Parish Road.  At T-intersection, turn Left on Rte. 245 for 2.3 miles.  Turn Left on Sunnyside.  The Aid Station and 5th Relay Exchange are at the Trail crossing.

"West Avenue to Middlesex" - Sunnyside to Church in Middlesex
Topography: Rolling Roads
Continue on Sunnyside about half a mile and bear right on West Avenue. Enjoy the gently rolling road.  As you approach the intersection with Rte. 364 in the town of Middlesex, the Aid Station, 6th Relay Exchange and 50K Finish is at the Church on the left.  There are rest rooms at the Church. 
50K finishers are responsible for their own transportation back to the Community College.  Food, drink, rest rooms and shelter are available at the Church for 50K finishers.

50K Finish; time limit 7 hours 30 minutes.
50 Mile solo; cut-off time 7 hours 30 minutes.

"Vine Valley" - Middlesex to Vine Valley
Topography: Big Up, Big Down, Short Out & Back
In the town of Middlesex, continue NE out of town on Rte. 364.  There's a pretty good climb to the intersection with S Vine Valley Road.  Take S Vine Valley Road to the small community of Vine Valley. The road has a big down, then rolling hills and then drops steeply to intersect S Lake Road. At the intersection, turn left (S) onto S Lake Road.  Continue South to marked Turnaround at #876.  Run around cone and run back North on S Lake Road.  The 7th Relay Exchange and Aid Station at the Community Center.

There are no restrooms available at the Community Center.

"Town Line Climb" - Vine Valley to Town Line
Topography: Long Climb
From the aid station, go North, staying on S Vine Valley Road for 0.3 miles. Immediately after a steeply-climbing hairpin turn, turn left (N) onto Lower Bare Hill Road (which becomes E Lake Road). The first two miles are rolling, more up than down. The last mile is a continuous climb that crests just before the Town Line Road intersection.  The Aid Station and 8th Relay Exchange are at the intersection.

"Twitchell-Green" - Town Line Arnold Road
Topography: Short Up, Then Flat & Rolling
Right on Town Line Road and go East up the hill.  The road is flat on top.  At 1.4 miles, turn Left (North) on Twitchell.  At 2.4 miles, Twitchell turns Right (East).  At Rte. 364 continue straight as road name changes to Green.  Green dips and then climbs to intersect with Arnold Road.  The Aid Station and final Relay Exchange are at the intersection.

"Middle Road" - Arnold to Finish
Topography: Mostly Flat to Gently Down
Turn Left (North) on Arnold to CR 1 at 1.2 miles.  Zag Right on CR 1 and then an immediate Left onto Conklin. The road dips and then gently climbs to intersect Middle Road.  Turn Left (North) and head for home. The 11th aid station (not a relay exchange) is at the intersection with Kipp Road at 3.7 miles. The route continues North on Middle Road to CR 18. Turn Left onto CR 18.  Take care... the traffic may be heavy for the next mile to Lincoln Hill Road. Ignore the Dead End sign and turn Right onto Lincoln Hill.  At the traffic barrier, go around either end and proceed down the mown grassy trail to Campus Drive.  Turn Right and follow Campus Drive.  Turn Right to loop up and around campus buildings to the Finish in front of the Gym.
Handers & Teams:  Don't turn off CR 18 onto Lincoln Hill.  Lincoln Hill is a dead-end road.  See Race Handbook for how to get from CR 18 back to Finish.
